SSOE is currently seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our growing structural team. Projects will vary in size, nature and scope, but include Industrial, manufacturing, Commercial, healthcare and Institutional projects. Experience with BIM software package including Revit Structures as well as structural analysis and design software package including RISA-3D, RISA Connection and RISA Foundation is required. Experience in structural analysis, design and detailing of steel, rcc, masonry, joist, cold-formed and pre-cast structures is required.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

 

• Collect information from all available sources in order to prepare accurate and complete designs and drawings.
• Study of input data from Section Manager & Laying out of GLRS & LLRS in schematic design stage.
• Preparation of drawings & schedules using Indian and foreign codes. American codes are preferred.
• Preparing designs predominantly Steel structures, for industrial plants, factories, warehouses etc.
• Preparing designs with various construction materials including masonry, joist, cold-formed and pre-cast.
• Performing design work in Revit software and review of 3D models.
• Attending review meetings and suggest necessary changes for the design and development of projects.
• Preparation of BOQ, specifications etc. Checking shop drawings/fabrication drawings.
• Preparation of Monthly, Weekly and Daily plan and Monitoring the project progress and highlighting critical issues as and when required.
• Feedback to Management & Client with necessary reports.
• Coordination with global offices and also with the internal departments like Plant Layout, Mechanical & Product teams for obtaining inputs, clarifications, interface checking and loadings.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).

• Experience with analysis and design of structural steel and concrete structures of significant complexity utilizing structural analysis & design software RISA and Revit.
• Good working knowledge of Building Codes and standards (e.g. IBC, ASCE7 etc.) as well as AISC & ACI Materials Codes & other referenced standards.
• Strong desire to develop new designs / technology.

• Enthusiastic, able to work well under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Self-starter and goal oriented.
• Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility.
• Team-player – open minded and flexible(should be ready to work for a couple of hours in the eveing to overlap with the international teams).
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to work well and be a contributor in a dynamic team environment
