SSOE’s glass experience spans decades and more than 10 countries, working with every major glass manufacturer on quite literally every aspect of plant development.
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
• Work as a Project Team Member to support the development of Electrical and Controls. deliverables that meet the requirements of a project’s scope, customer’s requirements, and adheres to applicable codes and company standards.
• Perform detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope. Work from field notes, sketches, and other input materials to determine and plan the best approach to prepare project deliverables.
• Perform design work using ePlan where project tasks may include:
o Developing drawing lists, motor lists, IO lists, and cable schedules.
o Schematics for power, control, instrumentation and shutdown circuits.
o Design DCS / PLC Control Panels, Field Junction Boxes, Local Control Panels including layout, bills of material, power schematics, control schematics and terminations.
o Design of communication systems using Ethernet communication cables and equipment.
• Perform SCADA work using Ignition where project tasks may include:
o Developing process screen graphics, application quality audits, scripting, and object tagging.
o Providing application exports and evaluation for migration of Allen Bradley or Wonderware applications.
o Keeping current on new means and methods.
What You Will Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Control Engineering.
• AutoCAD experience would be an advantage, but not mandatory.
• 8-12 years of direct related experience in industrial projects (preferably USA projects)
• Experience with MS Office Software Suite Required.
• Should be familiar with international codes and standards (preferably USA codes).
• Experience in CADD design working with ePlan software and/or experience SCADA programming working with Ignition software.
• Should be flexible to work in the evening hours to maintain communication with the USA teams.
