We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, as part of our Team, you will engage in the design, development, and the implementation of cutting-edge Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (E, I&C) Systems for state-of-the-art chemical, industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in various markets. As an Instrumentations & Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for working within our design team to create and problem-solve exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques and modeling software, while ensuring that all design requirements are met within approved budgets and schedules.

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
Design projects, tasks and responsibilities may include:
• Work as a Project Team Member to support the development of Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (E, I&C) design deliverables that meet the requirements of a project’s scope, customer’s requirements, and adheres to applicable codes and company standards.
• Work from field notes, sketches, and other input materials to determine and plan the best approach to prepare drawings and other project deliverables.
• Perform routine design calculations for the review by the Discipline Lead / Project Engineer.
• Design projects and tasks may include:
o Supporting the development of P&IDs including Process Instrumentation and Interlocks.
o Developing Instrument Indexes.
o Developing Instrument data sheets and other specifications.
o Developing instrumentation locations, plan drawings and instrumentation loop diagrams.
o Cable sizing for instrumentation and low voltage wiring.
o Cable tray layout and sizing for instrumentation and low voltage wiring.
o Schematics for power, control, instrumentation and shutdown circuits.
o Design DCS / PLC Control Panels, Field Junction Boxes, Local Control Panels including layout, bills of material, power schematics, control schematics and terminations.
o Design of communication systems using fiber optic cables, profibus and/or Ethernet.
o AC and DC interconnects as well as conduit and cable schedules.
• Depending on Project Assignments, Limited Travel may be required to Perform field inspections and provide technical services for activities related to construction, equipment installation or modifications.
What You Will Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Process Instrumentation and Control Engineering from an accredited University.
• Should have fluency in communication (English).
• Chemical Process and / Refinery Design / Oil & Gas Experience Required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience. (preferably 3 plus years- USA projects).
• Process Instrumentation Selection / Specification Experience Required.
• Experience with P&IDs, Instrument Indexes, Instrumentation Location Plans, and Instrumentation Wiring Required.
• NFPA 70 Required, specifically for the design of areas classified as electrically hazardous. Experience with MS Office Software Suite Required.
• Experience with CAD Software, AutoCad 2D and / or MicroStation (2D & 3D versions).
• Experience in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) Software is a must.
• Experience in the design of DCS Based and / or PLC Based Systems a plus.
• Should be ready to work in the India evening time for a couple of hours to overlap with USA offices.
