SSOE is looking to hire a mid-level Architect to join our team allowing the selected individual with the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading companies.

 

As an Architect, you will be responsible for working with other contributing Architects and design teams to create exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met, and to ensure timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

    • Support all phases of the architectural design process with various delivery methods.  Applies academic knowledge and training in the area of various building materials and systems.
    • Works under the direction of a project architect; receives specific and detailed instruction as to given tasks and desired results.
    • Continual collaboration with on-site and remote staff including daily team check-in and regular department and project related meetings.
    • Desire to display and develop skills and initiative through problem-solving, strategic thinking, and discovering solutions.  Applicants will have opportunities for mentoring staff and will be expected to assist with developing a team through future growth.
    • Drafts own and others designs into completed working drawings.
    • Will operate in an inter-disciplinary environment and be responsive to the needs of multiple persons and projects.
    • Goal-oriented assignments, with strong interest in development and refinement of the design and study process.
    • Must also recognize the importance of fiscal and environmental stewardship of resources of the Department, Company and Clients.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in architecture with at least 7 years of experience in architecture design.
  • Desire to display and develop skills and initiative through problem-solving, strategic thinking, and discovering solutions.
  • The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and international team members - fluency in English is required.
  • Experience in completing architectural projects with Autodesk Revit. Knowledge of other Autodesk and Bentley products is a plus.
  • Develop and use basic knowledge of local and international building codes, materials, and building systems.
  • Good computer interface skills (PC) including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of LEED and Sustainable Design practices is a plus.
  • Should be ready to work in the India evening time for a couple of hours to overlap with USA offices.
